“Dark world but through me I hope you see the light” – B

Last week, I got the chance to showcase my talents in front of college students, advisors, and entertainers from across the country. The last song I performed was one the I wrote called “You the 1”. Prior to performing, I shot video clips of some of the people in attendance mouthing the words to the song and made the following montage. “You the 1” is a song that will be on my next project and is dedicated to all the people society has written off or view as “underdogs”. It’s a song I wrote to encourage those people and remind them that they are ultimately “the ones” who can change the world.

I’ll be working to have my Be A Light t-shirts online soon. Until then just hit me up if you’d like one. Remember that all proceeds will help take care of current and future music expenses such as production cost, art design, music conferences, etc.

Thank you for your support!

I’m excited to announce the release of my 2nd video titled “Left Hand Material”.  For those of you who may be unsure what “Left Hand Material” means, it’s simply another way of saying wife material. I wrote the song to celebrate all the single women who are preparing themselves to be wives in the future as well as to salute women who are currently married.

I think it’s safe to say that one of the most important things in a musician’s life is to have the opportunity to share their gifts, talents, and abilities with an audience. You can be the most talented person in the world but if no one ever witnesses that talent there is only so far you can go.

That said, over the past couple months I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to share my positive message with college students from the country. Not only that, but I’ve had the chance to listen to some of their stories, learn what they’re interested in, and see what they’re motivated by. All of which are things that I can use to help me stay relevant in an ever changing industry.  I’m looking forward to getting the opportunity to perform at some of their schools in the future but even if not, I hope that I inspired at least one person to “Be A Light” in their respective fields, communities, and schools. #LightWork

One of the pictures below is my good friend Dr. Lorenzo Davis and here’s what he had to say about being a light. “…thanks for the shirt, Brother…Sometimes you have to be light and shine for those who may be in a dark place in there lives…especially our chirrens… So I pledge to be a light for those who may be enveloped in darkness!
